Safety Center

If something on Solmeera makes you unsafe — or if someone has shared an image of you without your consent — we want to act quickly. This page explains how.

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are in crisis, the National Domestic Violence Hotline is available 24/7 at 1-800-799-7233, and the Crisis Text Line is available by texting HOME to 741741.

1. Reporting another user

Inside the app, every profile and conversation has a Block and Report action. Use them. Reports go to our trust and safety team and are reviewed.

If you can't reach the in-app reporting flow — for example, you've already deleted the app — email safety@solmeera.com with as much detail as you can: the other user's display name, what happened, and any screenshots you're comfortable sharing.

2. Intimate-image takedown (NCII)

If an image or video of you was shared on Solmeera without your consent — or if a deepfake or AI-generated intimate image involving you appears on the service — you can request removal under the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act.

Email safety@solmeera.com with:

  • Your name and a way to reach you. (If you're acting on behalf of the depicted person — for example, as a parent, guardian, or someone with power of attorney — say so.)
  • A statement that the image or video depicts you, was shared without your consent, and that you have a good-faith belief it is intimate visual depiction within the meaning of 15 U.S.C. § 6851.
  • Enough detail to identify the content (a description, the user who posted it, or a link if there is one).

Our commitment: we remove qualifying content within 48 hours of a verified request. We will not retaliate against you for filing the request.

3. Copyright (DMCA)

If a user posts content that infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act:

Solmeera LLC
Attn: DMCA Agent
82 Wendell Avenue, Suite 100
Pittsfield, MA 01201
dmca@solmeera.com

Your notice must include the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3): a signature (physical or electronic), identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material, your contact information, a statement of good-faith belief, and a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury.

We respond to valid notices and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

4. Minor on the service

Solmeera is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly allow anyone under 18, and we don't run identity or background checks. If you suspect a minor has registered, email safety@solmeera.com and we will remove the account promptly.

Where appropriate, we report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement, as required by federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A).

7. Our safety policy: prohibited conduct and enforcement

Solmeera prohibits any content or conduct that threatens personal or public safety. That includes — without limitation — homicide or threats of violence, sexual assault, assault, kidnapping, stalking, harassment, robbery, theft, and fraud, as well as impersonation, solicitation of money, sexual content, and every behavior listed in Section 7 of our Terms of Service.

Consent matters. Non-consensual sexual conduct of any kind violates this policy and the law. An in-app match, a conversation, or a date is never consent.

Suspension and removal. We may suspend or permanently remove an account, without notice, when a report is substantiated, when our screening or moderation identifies a violation, when we believe an account is fraudulent or operated by a minor, or when continuing to serve the account would put others at risk. Accounts we remove may not return.

Appeals. If you believe we made a mistake — a removed photo or a banned account — email support@solmeera.com describing what happened. We aim to review within 7 business days.

Reports and other members. Reports are confidential. We review every report, but we do not notify other members about reports concerning a user, and we do not promise notifications we cannot reliably deliver. Please report honestly: knowingly false reports are themselves a violation of this policy.

How to report. Use the Block and Report actions on any profile or conversation, or email safety@solmeera.com — see Section 1 for what to include.

Our safety measures. Phone verification before anyone can like, match, or message; automated screening of every photo before it appears publicly, with borderline photos held for human review; in-app blocking and reporting on every profile and conversation; and legally required reporting of child-safety matters to NCMEC.

8. Background checks and identity verification

SOLMEERA DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENINGS ON ITS MEMBERS.

Here is what we do and don't verify. Every member must be 18 or older, and members verify a phone number before they can like, match, or message — a one-time code to a real mobile line, which makes fakes and bots much harder to operate. Every photo is screened before it appears publicly. None of this is a criminal background check, an identity check, or proof that someone is who they say they are. Treat every profile as self-reported.

9. Safer-dating practices

Some members of online dating services may not be who they claim to be — profiles can be falsified, and identity thieves and romance scammers target dating services. A few practices make a real difference:

  • Be cautious with strangers, online and off. Take your time before trusting anyone you haven't met.
  • Never include your last name, email address, home address, phone number, workplace, or any other identifying information in your profile or early messages.
  • Stop communicating with anyone who pressures you for personal or financial information, or who tries to trick you into revealing it.
  • Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or financial information to anyone you meet on a dating service — no matter how compelling the story. Report anyone who asks.
  • Meeting in person: tell a family member or friend where you're going and when, meet in a public place, arrange your own transportation there and back, and never be picked up at home.
